Graduation day and party details

I wanted to put up a quick blog with some pictures of BreAnne's graduation and some shots of the beautiful details that her mom, Lisa, put together for the dinner we had later that night.

Getting her diploma!

I love taking pictures of people taking pictures... and ipadographers are just ridiculously great! LOL!
We don't know who this is, but I saw him get ambushed by silly string and couldn't pass up getting a great photo!

These are some pretty awesome cupcakes that BreAnne made. Baked in mason jars! MMmmmmm

Lisa, you put on a great dinner party and it looked awesome!! :)

BreAnne's College Graduation!!!

Proud to announce that BreAnne is graduating from SJSU today with her degree in Business HR! She has put in SO MUCH work into her schooling, and she is finally done and able to breath!

I'm proud of her because of her hard work and dedication, even when she wasn't too thrilled about certain classes. She pushed through and accomplished her goals. She even told me that after her last final, she felt a little sad that school actually ended. Even though she's been looking forward to being done, when the day actually comes, it's a mix of emotions. (Personally for me, when I graduated, I was so ready to be done that I almost didn't even bother going to the graduation ceremony. Just send me my diploma! haha)

But I get it, it's a crazy feeling to know you don't just have a "summer break", YOU'RE DONE! Kind of weird feeling when you've gotten so used to school over the past roughly 18 years of your life.

Check out them sparkly shoes!!
Breanne loves to make hair accessories.. including this one.
These next few pictures are fun because BreAnne has been learning and helping me out with shooting weddings, engagements, senior portraits, family portraits, et cetera, so we decided to have a little fun with some of our vintage cameras!

And of course a graduation session would not be a graduation session without some pictures with a cap and gown! How someone can wear a graduation cap and gown and still look super stylish, I do not know. But BreAnne pulls it off!

Behold the bedazzled grad cap! :o Bedazzled by BreAnne herself. I suppose you could say it's been "BreDazzled".
So fetch! LOL
And she's DOOOONNNNE!!
BreAnne, I love you more than anything, and I'm so proud that you've graduated! NO MORE SCHOOL, NO MORE SCHOOL, NO MORE SCHOOL! Even with all your hard work, you managed to keep me fed! You're an amazing wife! :)

Love, Luke

P.s. I added a picture below for old time's sake!!

A picture of BreAnne and I from when she graduated high school! This was just before we officially started DATING! And now we're married and she's graduating college! Crazy how fast time flies.

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Payne

Beautiful accessories!

{a post from Mrs. 1985Luke}

Weddings are great, and this wedding was beautiful. But there is something about true and honest love that makes a wedding even better. Mike and Staci's personalities compliment each other so perfectly. Staci is the girliest, bubbly, loving person, and Mike is more of a soft spoken, funny guy. When Staci would start to stress over an element of the wedding, Mike would just stick his face in hers with a funny scrunched-up expression until she laughed. They're just sweet.

A note about Staci: I had to write this blog myself because I think Staci and I are soul sisters. She is me, only boho, but in general, we have a mutual love for girly things, Jesus, and Anthropologie. Which brings me to my point: the dress. Pretty much the most unique, beautiful, vintage-looking wedding dress I have ever seen close up. Straight from Anthropologie's wedding line BHLDN, the dress was the most delicate, amazing thing. Paired with layers of pearls and anthro pumps? Yes, please.

A bit of back story: Staci and Mike hit more than a couple speed bumps on their road to the aisle. Within the few weeks leading up to the wedding, she was hospitalized, they were thrown a few financial surprises, venue surprises, and Mike's father had a heart attack while on business in London.WAH!!? Because a bride doesn't have enough to worry about right?? With every little hiccup, Staci would text me (I would freak out for her!), but she always responded so gracefully. She once said "I just want to marry this man, and have a beautiful day, and just rejoice." Staci, boy did you get your wish!

Staci and Mike married in a candle-lit room full of family and friends, serenaded by their good friends (including singer songwriter, Allison Sattinger, who sang Staci down the aisle to Kari Jobe's "My Beloved." So darling.) We loved working along side Mike's best man, of Aqua Vivus Productions, and can't wait to see their wedding video!

Staci and Mike: we wish you a lifetime of love, fun, and blessings! Thanks for letting us be a part of your day!

Anthro! Anthro! Anthro!

Patiently waiting for Mike to arrive outside for their first look.

A little wind decided to visit us while we were shooting. But Staci is a pro and worked it!

Precious flower girl.
Adorable ring bearer.

You know... when there are tennis courts nearby and the lights are on, you just have to get a little goofy!

If you notice the picture in the middle, it was taken out on the balcony of the restaurant. On one side is the balcony, then the other side you can see in to the ceremony. Turned out to be a pretty neat shot!

Mike and Staci, we're blessed to have you guys in our lives!
