Chelsea's Senior Portraits

We’ve had such a fun time getting to know people in Beaver, Utah! As many of you know, we’ve recently started doing business there with our family. We purchased a bottled water company that previously went out of business, and we are going to open up shop again and start selling water! (Divinity Bottling is the name of our new company) The unique thing about the water is, the town of Beaver won a national taste test award, and is considered the best tasting water in the United States of America. Along with selling this water, we plan to contribute to the battle of providing safe drinking water to people who don’t have access to clean water, if any at all!

More about the water company in the future, for now, let me introduce you to Chelsea!

Chelsea’s family has been, by far, the most helpful people ever! Being that we live in California, we don’t know too many people in Beaver, Utah. LOL. But her family has been so gracious by helping us learn what we need to know about running a bottled water company (her family used to be involved with the previous company). They’ve also helped us feel incredibly welcomed and have introduced us to so many people that live in Beaver. (Super great people so far!!)

As many friends and family have asked, “What are you going to do about the photography business?” Well, “I guess it’s time to expand from California to Utah!”, I tell them. Photography is not something that I can only enjoy in California!! LOL

Anyways, when Chelsea asked about shooting some senior portraits, I was more than honored to be able to do the session. There are SO MANY neat places to take pictures at, and I can’t wait to shoot more photos in the future!

I hope you enjoy the pictures! This is a first time Beaver, Utah session, and a first time COWGIRL session! And when I say cowgirl, I don’t mean someone who dresses up and pretends to be one, I mean, an actual cowgirl! Chelsea rides horses, ropes cattle, rides without a saddle, etc. Doesn’t get more real than this!

What a goof ball!

Swing!

Boots with the spurrrrrrrs

A true cowgirl. Rope box and all!

Not sure if I should be offended that her horse, Popeye, is sticking his tongue out at me... haha!

Whoa! Look out!

Chelsea, congrats on your upcoming graduation! We wish you all the best in what's to come in the next chapter of your life!!

Baby's First Easter! {Alyssa Kelly}

Graduating high school, beginning college, growing up, picking majors, figuring out what you want to do for the "rest of your life", meeting new friends, trying to get meaningful internships, graduating college, preparing resumes, applying for job after job after job, meeting the love of your life, talking about marriage, planning a wedding, the day you sign your marriage license, and then moving into a place of your own... These are all big milestones in people's lives, and they are all fairly easy to wrap your head around once you figure out a plan that will get you to the next step in your life. But when your friends start having babies of THEIR OWN... THAT is one of the biggest shockers. At least for me it was. All the other stuff is easy to wrap my head around because I still feel like a total goofball high school student who is on one epic adventure called life. But when my friends starting having kids of their own, it just blows my mind! Are we really old enough to be in charge of raising another human being on our own?!? Wow!

Well let me tell you, when I heard that my friend Brandon was having a baby, I had to pause for a second and think to myself, "Didn't I just graduate high school?" (2003 feels like it was just yesterday). Shoot! What an amazing thing though!

I had no idea what to expect. I mean, there was going to be a little Brandon, (and Lisa of course) running around soon. But I just couldn't wrap my head around it. Then he tells me they're having a girl... still couldn't wrap my head around it. But when I actually met little Alyssa Kelly, it made it that much more real. And as you can see for yourself, she is absolutely adorable! Totally cute baby girl. (6 months old when we took these pictures)

My condolences to the guys who want to take her on a date some day down the road. I know Brandon will give 'em a run for their money!

When Brandon and Lisa had asked about doing an Easter session with Alyssa I just thought, "This is one of the cutest little girls I know. I have to take her pictures!" I still can't get over how insanely blue her eyes are!

Ok ok ok, I'll let you continue to scroll down through the pictures!

Seriously, how many kids can have pictures taken with just a blanket and look this cute?!?
Must. Touch. Camera. Must. Touch. Camera. haha

A little Easter bunny!

Just playin' with some Easter eggs.
Yummy basket!
Look at them blue eyes!
HAPPY EASTER!

Brandon and Lisa, we hope you guys have a wonderful first Easter with Alyssa today!! And again, you guys have such a cute girl!

The Freitas Family Portraits

Where to begin with the Freitas family? I mean, it's not that easy to express how adorable their twin 6 month old sons are. We had to keep reminding ourselves that we were there to take pictures, otherwise we would have just goofed around and played with them the whole time!

What a joy it is to work with a family that totally loves each other. Thankfully the boys had enough patients with us as we positioned them endlessly for these pictures. Not to mention that we were out taking pictures in the morning, which could have made for some sleepy children, but these two were like angels! You can see the curiosity all over their faces, saying, "Who on EARTH is this guy, and why is he pointing something at us that makes a weird clicking noise?" (Interpretively paraphrased)

Prep time. Just chillin'

I guess someone was playing peek-a-boo!

Shoes!
Baby shoes!

Mark and Alee, we wish you a lifetime of happiness and fun with Tyler and Easton! Thanks for letting us get some snap shots of your lovely family!!
